About Denise

Livingston County has been my family’s home since 1973. I raised my two sons while recovering from a medical disability and committed myself to community involvement in several ways. A Hartland resident for almost 25 years, my two sons attended Hartland Schools where I actively volunteered with Ski/Snowboard club and Boarder Cross High School team.

Community Involvement

Currently I serve as an Executive Committee member for the Livingston County Republican Party and a past EC member of Michigan Republican Party 8th Congressional District. An active volunteer with the Livingston for Trump group since its inception. I am also active with Protect Our Republic, a group that seeks to educate citizens about current policy issues facing our communities, state and nation. In 2015, I realized that the America I was raised in, the GREATEST Republic in the world, was disappearing so quickly that my sons would not know that it had been a shining light of freedom and opportunity.

Education

I hold a Business degree from Lansing Community College and Bachelor degrees in both Information Systems and Accounting from Clearly College, which has served me well in the role of Trustee.

Leadership and Vision

As our community continues to grow, it is time for fresh leadership from a perspective that is truly fiscally responsible, and is dedicated to preserving Hartland as a great place for families to live and work while supporting business enterprises that form the backbone of Hartland’s prosperity.

Current Role

As a current Hartland Township Trustee, I’ve worked very hard for the residents of our community. The board has continued to financially support local non-profits, the parks have received many upgrades, the infrastructure both water and sewer have had major improvements and the sidewalks have been improved and upgraded in areas. The planned Veterans Memorial at Settlers Park is getting close to being started. The Hartland-Deerfield Fire Authority brought a new Fire Truck into the fleet.

For the past four years, I’m very proud of the work I’ve done as a Hartland Trustee. I would sincerely like to continue with several projects that are in the works for a wonderful community.

The Role of a Trustee

The Trustee is elected every four years to help manage the fiscal health, current direction and future plans of our township. Common-sense, data-directed policy decisions will positively impact Hartland township citizens for years to come. I will be available and responsive to fellow residents and businesses, and keenly tuned-in to their perspectives, needs and concerns.

True Transparency

Small business is the heart-blood of our community - streamline the process to welcome and keep entrepreneurs in Hartland.

Shortening the approval process for homeowners to improve their property without unnecessary cost and slow consent of local government.

Citizen driven Budgets.
